“I don’t want that ADHD label.”

“I don’t want that ADHD label.”

That’s what a client of mine told me this morning.

He was a bit surprised that I’ve recently been using the term ADHD more often in my content.

“I recognize so much of what you write, but I don’t want that label. I don’t want to be put in a box.”

And that’s exactly the point.
We don’t want to be put in a box.

Don’t get me wrong—I’ve NEVER been officially tested for ADHD. And I have absolutely no desire to be.
Why would I? I know for myself that I fit that “category.” I recognize all the typical traits of someone with ADHD in me.
So what would testing bring me?
What would I be trying to achieve?
All it would do is put me in the role of a victim—and that’s exactly what I am not.

I hear so many stories around me about kids being tested for ADHD and then immediately being put on medication just to be able to “function.”
Or more accurately: being numbed down by medication just to fit back into the system.

But that is exactly what is not supposed to happen…

I see my ADHD as a superpower. A super talent.
I’ve been gifted with a talent that doesn’t allow me to fit into the system—and that’s precisely what helps me break it open.
My ADHD is like a crowbar that lets me help others break free from the matrix they’ve been longing to escape.

And my clients are exactly the same.
Men who want to break out of the system—and who have the capacity to lead others in doing the same.
Men who don’t want to be labeled as “ADHD.”
And maybe, that’s also why they feel resistance when I use the term.

So, why do I use the term anyway?

Because it creates recognition.
It instantly grabs the attention of the brain—whether that reaction is positive or negative.
You immediately know what it’s about. There’s an association.
The label “ADHD” catches attention. It draws people in.

But most of all, I want to speak to those who don’t want the label, even though it might apply to them.
I want to reach the potential ADHD-ers who don’t want to be victims—who want to break out of the box.
Who want to stand in their power, instead of being numbed by the system.

I want to shake you awake—to help you realize that this is a powerful gift you carry.
And with it, you can help awaken others too.

Because believe me—that is what the world needs.
Most people are still asleep.

Maybe you’re struggling with the traits that fall under the ADHD label.
But that’s only because you’re still trying to fit into a system that doesn’t serve you.
You’re caught in that inner conflict.
But the moment you let go of that struggle and dare to step out…
That’s when you’ll discover those “ADHD-like traits” will actually serve you.
They’ll stop getting in your way—and start lighting your path.
